Sherman Glenn Finesilver (October 1, 1927 – October 12, 2006) was a United States federal judge.
Born in Denver, Colorado, Finesilver received a B.A. from the University of Colorado in 1949 and a J.D. from the University of Denver College of Law in 1952. He was an Assistant city attorney of Denver, Colorado from 1952 to 1955. He was in private practice in Denver, Colorado from 1952 to 1955. He was a judge on the County Court, City and County of Denver from 1955 to 1962. He was a judge on the Colorado Second Judicial District from 1962 to 1971. Finesilver was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. Finesilver was nominated by President Richard Nixon on September 8, 1971, to a seat vacated by William E. Doyle. He was confirmed by the United States Senate on September 21, 1971, and received his commission on September 22, 1971. He served as chief judge from 1982-1994. He assumed senior status on May 31, 1994. Finesilver served in that capacity until December 31, 1994, due to retirement.
He died in Denver, Colorado.
